And if for Roland Barthes the photography is ´the dead theater of the Death , how should we call the works of Estelle Lagarde, who resurrects the dead in her exquisite scenes in the historical buildings. By providing the image with the temporarily of a dream, Estelle Lagarde not only invites us to inter with her into the fantastic and transparent world, but also to rediscover there, in these ruins transformed into the open stage the quality of her subject.

Si, comme l’Ècrit Roland Barthes, la photographie est ´ le thèatre mort de la mort - ce qui, en un clic, converti le sujet en objet - que dire alors du travail d’Estelle Lagarde sinon qu’il s’efforce de ressusciter les morts par l’art de la mise-en-scËne et l’allongement du temps de pose. RÈinsufflant au cadavre de l’image le rÍve de sa temporalitÈ, Estelle Lagarde ne nous invite pas seulement ‡ pÈnÈtrer avec elle dans un monde onirique et diaphane, mais ‡ faire des ruines d’un ancien palace la scËne ouverte sur laquelle tout Ítre masquè retrouve, comme par miracle, sa qualitè de sujet.
